Janine Varney - Manager

Janine has over 25 years experience in the travel field.

You could say I have an enduring passion for travel! The past 25 years have been rich with diverse experiences: from elephant riding in the jungles of Thailand, sampling Peking Duck in China, to touring the elite resorts of Sardegna, Italy, where the rich and famous vacation.  While the planet abounds with new places to be explored, there are always favourites to return to and easily accessible destinations in Hawaii & Mexico have permanent appeal.

However, what I love most about my job are my clients. Finding the right fit for people, and knowing that arrangements and plans go smoothly is a rewarding experience. Managing our excellent Hillside Marlin Team makes my job even more satisfying and enjoyable.

I look forward to seeing you in our office so that we can share our expertise with you, and make your travel experience the best possible one.

Susan Swindells

Susan has been in the travel industry for over 10 years, she is a certified adventure travel specialist.

Susan says:  I truly enjoy planning travel for my clients and delight in matching them with the right travel product. Whether a Safari in Africa or a weekend in Las Vegas, with so many different options available; the more clients share with me their likes, dislikes, expectations and budget, the better I am able to advise.

My goal is a happy, repeat client, who recommends me to their friends.

As an enthusiastic traveler and photography fan myself, I also love to share what I have experienced and do so with my own travel website and blog.

Favourite Travel Destinations: I've travelled extensively throughout India, South East Asia, the Caribbean and Japan. Botswana and the Maldives are also among my favorite destinations, as are Las Vegas and Disneyland! Cruising tops my list for effortless travel, while a trek to Everest Base Camp is the next challenge on my personal travel bucket list!

Richard Hutchison

On a safari in Botswana, Africa

We live a in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure.  There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.

 For my part I travel not to go anywhere, but to go.  I travel for travel’s sake.  The great affair is to move.  There are no foreign lands.  It is the traveller only who is foreign. 

 Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than the tones you did do. So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbour.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.

David Freeman

David has 32.5 years experience in the travel industry! Born in the UK, he has travelled to Germany, Holland, Italy, Hawaii (Oahu, Maui, Kaui, Big Island), Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, the United States and on the Rocky Mountaineer.

Cher Stirton

 

 

With more than 30 years in the travel industry I have experienced some unique destinations and explored a wonderful cross section of countries around the world. 

From the heights of Machu Picchu in Peru to scuba diving on the ocean floor in the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, riding camels in the desert of Africa, cruising down the Amazon River in Brasil,  I have yet to experience a destination that I did not marvel at and/or delight in exploring and sharing with my clients.

My personal favorite International country to visit is Tunisia, but I am also partial to Australia,  certain areas of Mexico, Asia, Europe and even southwest USA including the Hawaiian Islands.

The world is your oyster and there are many charming "pearls" to find and explore.
